Bismillah: THE FAREWELL ADVICE: The Prophet ﷺ pbuh delivered to us an eloquent and profound sermon, one that caused eyes to shed tears and the hearts to quake. We said O Messenger of Allah! It is as if this is a farewell sermon! He ﷺ pbuh said:1-Fear Allah & Listen and obey (to those in authority), even if an Ethiopian slave is made a leader over you. 2-Whoever from you lives after me will see... much conflict; then upon you is my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khalifahs after me; bite on it (sunnah) with your Molars! 3-And beware and stay away from innovated matters, for every innovation is misguidance. [Abu Dawud (3851), Tirmidhi (2157), ibn Majah (40) & others]. [Food for thought] Imagine the feelings of a tenderhearted mother as she says farewell to her beloved child, here the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is saying farewell to his Companions and to His Nation [YOU and I] – Therefore this advice has to be the most comprehensive that he ﷺ pbuh ever gave!!! [Take 60 seconds…] REFLECT on the advice and know that If your hearts are wounded by the death of our beloved prophet ﷺ then hasten to apply his final advice.
